Opalite Refills - Orchid Ice and Golden Mist
Squeegee
§ Attach the sticker paper to the crepe paper to stabilize the crepe paper
§ Squirt dots of Orchid Ice in 8 spots and squeegee
§ Squirt dots of Golden Mist on the uninked areas and squeegee
§ Trim the crepe paper to 4.75” long and tape it to the card

Opalite Refills – Cypress Frost, Sterling Frost, Nordic Ice
Squeegee
§ Squirt 3/4” long strips of ink along 3 sides of the cardstock and squeegee
§ Cut lengthwise into 4 strips

Bazzill purple cardstock
Opalite Refills – Orchid Ice, Arctic Emerald, Golden Mist
Squeegee
Gold ribbon
Laminate or tape to secure strips after weaving
§ Squirt 3/4” long strips of ink along 3 sides of the cardstock and squeegee in a circular pattern
§ Bend (don’t fold or crease it) in half lengthwise. Starting at the fold, cut 8 snips towards the cut ends – stopping about 1/4” before the cut ends
§ Weave the Tsumugi Silks Iris strips and gold ribbon through the opening – keep the woven strips centered along the cut strips.
§ On the backside - secure the strips and ribbon with the laminate or tape
§ Cut off the 1/4” uncut sections of the Bazzill cardstock to release the strips
§ Trim the ends of the strips in varying lengths
§ Attach it to the card with foam tape

§ Stamp and emboss Camellia
§ Daub Orchid Ice through the stencil
§ Trim and attach it to the card with foam tape


8.5”x11” Orchid text weight paper
1/8” Punch
§ Fold one of the short ends 1” & turn the paper over – keeping the folded end at the top
§ Fold the long sides in 1/2”
§ Fold the bottom up 1.5”
§ Bring the top down towards the bottom fold and slide the top into the two 1/2” tabs on the side – sliding the top about 1/2” into the bottom fold. Crease the new “top edge.”
§ Fold it in half & tape it to the inside of the card.
§ Punch two 1/8” holes through the insert and the card

Black elastic beading cord – 7”
Black twig
Hanko Designs Mizuhiki – MH 106 Purple, MH 118 Dark Purple, MH 113 Golden Ivory – 5” each
§ Fold one end of the black cord over 1.5” and push it through a hole in the insert and out through the hole in the card.
§ Slip one end of the twig under the loop and pull the cut end of the loop to tighten it on the inside
§ Repeat w/ the other hole on the insert and the card.
§ Pull the cord to tighten it and tie a knot on the inside.
§ Pull the mizuhiki through both loops
§ Tie a double knot on the inside

§ Stamp words
§ Punch 1/8” holes on the left of 3 words and cut those words into narrow strips

3 6” pieces of gold cord
§ Stamp and emboss Flora Background (immediately cover the stamped image with the embossing powder VersaFine dries very quickly!)
§ Squirt 3/4” lines of refills at each corner
§ Squeegee in a semi-circular pattern to lightly blend the colors
§ Trim to 3”wide x 2.75” tall
§ Cut it into 3 1” wide strips
§ Punch a 1/8” hole on each strip
§ Tie the words from the previous step and the 1” strips with the gold cord
§ Attach the strips into 3 of the pockets on the insert

§ Daub Orchid Ice through the stencil
§ Fold into a notetag, attach gold bead and cord, insert in the pocket
