Checkered Card

Materials: 1 piece White Scrapbook cardstock 1 piece marble scrapbook paper 1 square moss fold over card (Judikins) 1 piece green cardstock Fibers for tag and packet closure Art for tag (Rubber Baby Buggy Bumbers) 1/2” hole punch, 1/8” hole punch, stipple brush 2 green eyelets VersaFine™ Vintage Sepia and Olympia Green Walnut Ink Crystals VersaColor Green Tea and Bark Stamps:  Diamond Crackle Background (Paper Inspirations), Mosaic (Stampers Anonymous), Dream (Penny Black), Roma Postmark (Laughing Moon)

Instructions: Make a solution of Walnut Ink using 1T crystals and 1/2C water. Brush it on the white cardstock with a sponge brush. Let dry.   Trace pocket pattern on Walnut Ink cardstock.   Punch a hole in each of the long flaps. Edge pocket in VersaColor Bark ink.   Stamp mosaic on front flaps in Olympia Green ink. Punch two 1/2” circles out of the green cardstock. Punch a 1/8” circle in the center of each.   For the top flap, thread a fiber into the hole in the flap. Lay the green circle over it, matching the holes of the circle and the flap.   Set a 1/8” eyelet in the hole, trapping the fiber. For the bottom flap, lay the green circle over the hole in the flap and set an eyelet to connect the circle to the flap.   Cut a tag out of the green cardstock. Punch a hole and thread fibers through the hole.   Edge the tag in VersaColor Green Tea and Bark inks. Cut the tag art and edge with Bark ink. Glue to tag with a glue stick. Stamp Roma postmark over it using VersaFine™ Olympia Green ink.   Stamp diamond background on square card using VersaFine™ Olympia Green. Attach a torn piece of marble scrapbook paper on the bottom half.   Stipple with VersaFine™ Vintage Sepia. Edge card with Green Tea and Bark inks.   Stamp ‘Within the heart…’ stamp inside using Olympia Green. Affix the pocket to the front using white craft glue. Insert the tag in the pocket.
